The Privacy Policy is part of the Terms of Service and incorporated into the Terms. Messedo recognizes that when a User provides information about himself/herself and his/her contacts, the User trusts Messedo to operate with and act in a responsible manner with the information provided.
Before a User can start using the services Messedo offers, the User has to register and provide a log-in, password, e-mail address, name and other contact information. This information is needed for identification of the User and communication regarding the User's account and activity on or through the Portal.
Log file information is automatically reported by the User's browser or device each time the User accesses the Services. Messedo's servers automatically record certain log file information, which may include the web request, Internet Protocol address, browser type, pages and URLs, clicks, domain names and other information regarding interaction with the Services.
Messedo uses cookies on certain pages of its Services. Cookies may enable Messedo to relate a User's activity to personally identifying information previously submitted. Information collected with cookies allows Messedo to statistically analyze Services usage and improve products, services and promotional efforts. Users can reset their web browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent; however, some features of the Services may not function properly if cookies are disabled.
Messedo may also use third-party vendors to show ads for Messedo on websites across the internet. These vendors use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor's previous visits to Messedo's website.
Messedo may send e-mails containing notifications, verification, price-change updates, billing and balance information, newsletters and product offerings. If a User does not want to receive promotional e-mails, they may send a request to support@messedo.co. For service-related e-mails (verification, price-change updates, balance information), the only way to opt out is to terminate the account.
Messedo will not share, sell, rent or otherwise disclose any personally identifiable information collected about Users, except with the User's permission or in the following situations:
Users may use account settings to control activity associated with their account, such as messages and contact information. Be aware that messages transmitted via the Services may be accessible to certain third-party organizations — mobile networks, SMS gateway services and related partners — which have their own policies and security measures.
Messedo's employees and contractors generally do not have access to view messages or contact information associated with a User's account; however, certain authorized employees have access to some data associated with the account: activity, profile settings, log files, services provided, summary reports and statistics.
Messedo uses SSL/TLS to encrypt information sent between the User's device and Messedo's portal and servers, and undertakes all measures to protect collected data against unauthorized access.
User data is accessible only via accounts verified with a password, API key or other secure credential. Multiple invalid login attempts within a short time automatically lock the account for a short period to prevent automated password guessing. Users may also enable two-factor authentication via one-time SMS password, and a whitelist of IP addresses allowed to access their data.
Keep in mind that the Services run on software, hardware and networks which may from time to time require maintenance or experience problems or breaches of security beyond Messedo's control. No data transmission over the Internet or encryption method can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
Messedo currently stores and processes information collected through the Services on servers located in the European Union. Messedo may transfer collected information, including personal information, to affiliated entities or other third parties across borders. Messedo ensures that data transfers comply with GDPR Chapter 5: "Transfers of personal data to third countries or international organisations".
If you are located in a region with data laws differing from Ukraine or the European Union, note that Messedo may transfer information to a jurisdiction that does not have the same data protection laws as yours. Users consent to the transfer of information to any country in which Messedo or its affiliates or service providers maintain facilities.
Users may correct and/or update collected information by signing in to the Messedo Portal and editing account settings, or by contacting support@messedo.co. Messedo may retain original and updated data for reasons such as technical constraints, dispute resolution and agreement enforcement.
Users can stop receiving promotional e-mail communications by contacting support@messedo.co — processing unsubscribe requests promptly is a high priority of the customer care policy.
To delete or disable cookies, follow the instructions of your browser or mobile device. Disabling cookies and other tracking tools prevents Messedo or its business partners from tracking browser activity, but may disable some features available through the Services. For questions, contact support@messedo.co.
Messedo stores User Content until a User deletes it using the functionality provided in the Services or via contacting support@messedo.co and following the verification process. After deletion, Messedo reserves the right to retain User Content for a commercially reasonable time for backup, archival, or audit purposes — in no case greater than 1 year following deletion or termination of the account.
Messedo reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Please visit this page periodically. The Updated date in the footer of the page marks material changes. Continued use of the Services after changes are applied constitutes acceptance of such changes.
