Everything you need to know to get your SMS campaigns up and running — from first steps to sender IDs and message length.
SMS services can be an efficient tool either to grow sales and your customer base or to provide operational support for your customers.
An SMS campaign is one of the most fruitful marketing channels. Its main pitch is cost-effectiveness, fast delivery & penetration, mass accessibility and conversion — 99% of mobile users read SMS, and nearly 99% of users have a mobile phone, which guarantees delivery of your message to each mobile user with active status in the operator's network.
Your branded SMS header becomes a door-opener to your customers, and the smartphone saves the SMS thread of your messages. Messages can be diversified with Emoji, short URLs and images.
From the operational side, SMS services are the reliable tool for:
You are welcome to push the Sign up button. Please follow the instructions there — it is easy.
In your personal dashboard you will find the "SMS message" section. Type the mobile number in international format, type the message. For mass campaigns you can upload a base of contacts from your file using the "Manage contacts" section. Before sending, please check the balance on your account. Push send. Done.
For bulk and automated campaigns or notifications we can set a connection via SMPP v3.4 protocol or our API. We can also try to make an integration with your CRM system.
One chargeable segment of an SMS in standard Latin coding may contain up to 160 symbols, and up to 70 symbols in Cyrillic coding. If the quantity oversteps the limit, another part of the SMS is created — this is shown in the text panel of the "Send SMS" section.
Don't worry: two or three parts influence only charging, not delivery — the SMS is concatenated and the mobile user sees it as a whole. Latin coding: one part is up to 160 symbols, two parts up to 306 symbols, and so on. Cyrillic: one part up to 70 symbols, two parts up to 134 symbols, and so on.
Your balance is shown on your dashboard when you log in. To top up there are a couple of options: online payments (links can be found in your dashboard) or via invoice (for contract-basis partners) — our finance managers will assist with that.
Your customer care manager can also set a critical balance threshold, after which a notification alert is sent to your e-mail. Checking the balance can also be done via API.
You may assign the sender ID you want directly from your dashboard. There are some restrictions: no more than 11 symbols, and all-numerical IDs are forbidden. Names of countries and cities cannot be used either.
Some countries separate local senders and international senders — you will find guidance on that in your dashboard, marked "?".
Yes. Prohibited content includes: narcotics, politics, religion, prostitution, calls for war, phishing and smishing. Gambling and loans can be non-welcome in a series of countries.
You can upload your base of contacts using .csv or .txt file format in the "Manage contacts" section of your account. Phones should be in the international format like «38050 1112233» — our systems sort out spaces and symbols like "+" or "!" themselves.
Your file can also contain columns with extra data such as name, surname, date of birth and other parameters useful for making campaigns.
The SMS API lets you automate the connection and manage campaigns, alerts, OTP SMS and notifications. The API is onboard once you've signed up.
Once set, it really eases running business SMS communication — whether it's an online shop, marketplace, CRM system or website. Make the connection via API and enjoy the automated communication process.
